While the cost of living is incredibly high nowadays, it’s crucial that every individual sacrifice a few bucks to help homeless people who can go for days without a proper meal. It is devastating to think that there are people who struggles to get the basic needs of life!
One man in St. Louis, Missouri has chosen to help the homeless to live a relatively decent life. He used his savings ($5,000) to buy a truck that has positively touched the lives of homeless people in the region.
His Encouraging Story
Jake Austin has always had the desire to help people achieve their goals in life. He has always felt the urge to help the needy in society and motivate them towards making a change in their lives. When an opportunity to live his dream beckoned, he picked it without hesitation. However, he chose a different path;
He set out to boost the self-esteem of these individuals. He needed them to feel loved and appreciated by society. To achieve this, he provided them with a chance to shower and dress decently.
Mobile Shower Unit
He transformed the inside of his truck into two bathrooms where the homeless would enjoy their bathing moments. Additionally, he provided clean towels and an opportunity to clean their clothes.
While this may appear unnecessary, it addresses the core problem of self-hate and desperation. It gives them the confidence to mingle with people and look for life-changing opportunities! Jake always feels satisfied whenever he sees the homeless people bubbling with joy and confidence after the shower.
