For the last 15 years, one man has been at the forefront of the tech industry revolution. The laid back, charming, and at times enigmatic Elon Musk is his name, and he has more accomplishments than you can count. To say that Elon Musk is a successful businessman is an understatement. The man has pioneered the space and automobile industry to heights that were once thought unimaginable.
With this in mind, here are some of the top accomplishments of Elon Musk that have seen his name showered with praise in the tech and engineering spectrum.
Tesla

Of course, we had to kick it off with the company that put Musk’s name on the map. Since 2003, Tesla has been producing vehicles that are strictly against the use of fossil fuels and opting for the cleaner, more energy friendly electric vehicle.
At first, Teslas only seemed affordable to upper middle-class individuals, retailing at a whopping $80,000. Over the years, this figure has reduced significantly and most people can now afford a Tesla at just $31,000. Indeed, driving a Tesla ensures that you minimize about 650 pounds of carbon emissions a year.
Space X

Global warming is making our planet hotter and less bearable every year. If we are not careful, we may not have a planet to live on in the next 100 years! In case we do not change our ways, Elon Musk created the Space X project as a fallback to counter this impending disaster. Space X aims at enabling human beings become a multi-planet species. The main agenda of Space X is to send people to inhabit Mars, and potentially other planets.
In fact, Space X became the first private company in 2012 to transport cargo to the International Space Station. They also plan to commercialize space travel and improve the transportation of tourists to outer space.
Gigafactories

Musk has been working around the clock to ensure that there is sustainable energy especially in the United States. As such, he is creating a number of gigafactories that run solely on wind and solar energy. They are also designed to be self-reliable. The pioneering factory is located on the outskirts of Reno, Nevada, and covers nearly 10-million square miles.
The main reasons for these factories lies solely in the mass assembly and production of the lithium ion batteries required in the driving of Tesla vehicles. Indeed, Musk plans to open more gigafactories around  the world, with another factory based in New York.
The Boring Company

While it might not be his most known subsidiary, The Boring Company is a venture started out by Musk to enhance interstate transportation in America. The company aims to improve gridlock by constructing the Hyperloop system, where people will be able to move from one city to another underground through pods. It is believed that the pods will be zooming underground at the speed of 700 miles per hour!
On an economic level, the Hyperloop will be much cheaper. It is believed that the system will only cost $6 billion dollars while a hyper-speed train system will amount to a whopping $68 billion.
